Its not over yet

I waited 11 hours today and neither the electrician nor the plumber showed. I did finally call one of them and they said we were scheduled but no one ever called back to say they couldnt make it.
So its at least one more night in the leaky trailer with 1/4 of the wiring dead and a precariously dangling light fixture.
Having no rubber gloves or galoshes (not a big item in the Southwest) to stave off electrocution, thanks anyway DJ, I'm considering inflating and sleeping in my rubber kayak.
Roomie is 300 miles away but he doesnt board his plane to vacationland for a few more hours so i called to inform him that i ate his hidden chocolate stash and allegedly two muscle relaxers. That will show him. I also wished that he got the crazy TB guy as a seatmate but didnt really mean it.
This has been the worst month ever. The only bright spot was a check that came Saturday, my share of a $25,000 grand prize for an internet game sponsored by Court TV in June. Unfortunately over 6000 of us had the correct answer and so it was only for $4.16 but thats been better than anything else August has dished out.
The internet and cable are still hanging in there so all hopes not abandoned yet.

Poor Roomie hasnt had a vacation in 2 months so he left for a week yesterday.
We have a few drippy faucets and from the size of the last water bill quite possibly a good size underground leak somewhere. None of this has happened overnight but Roomie waits to set up the plumbers appt for this morning at 8 after hes left town. He's not as dumb as he looks. I havent even searched for w#@k yet so i have plenty of time to wait, right now the plumbers 2 1/2 hrs late.
So yesterday just as Roomie was finishing up his packing , the ceiling lights in his bedroom, bathroom and hall suddenly stopped w#@king. The wall outlets are fine in these rooms and we did flip the breakers. I finally got ahold of an electrician last night and he is supposed to be here in 2 1/2 hrs.
I figure his supposed arrival time will average out with the plumbers and they both should be here sometime next Tuesday if lunch, golf or global warming dont get in the way.
I took the broom and was sweeping the cobwebs off the dead light fixtures (i like to leave the spiders alone) before the electrician gets here and the hall light fell out of the ceiling and is now dangling by some wires. I dont know whats next but as long as we still have the internet i'll go down with the ship. Save me a seat Son!

Yippie!

Back away from the Trailer!
Sons poor body finally had enough and i made the call this week. I know 16 was an incredible lifespan for a big boy like him and he did have the best, he knew he was loved and adored. This is just one of the most fucked up surreal real times.
