Typhoid Roomie has brought home another cold and in my w$#k weary state i was unable to fight it off.  Have skipped the overtime the last two days.

When i came home yesterday morning the sun was just starting to come up.  Dazed, confused and sick after  a night of w$#k I waited next to my car for my skunk brother to run off so i could go inside.  They are always under the front porch eating birdseed at night.   Really beautiful animals.

I heard this little voice in the darkness saying hello, hello.  In my sleep deprived state just for an instant i thought that skunk was talking to me but it was the woman next door getting her paper.  Only 10 more months until i get vacation time.  Will i make it?

Roomies kids are coming to visit for a few days next week including the little Foul Mouthed Grandson.

froggyLittle FMG's hippie mother decided before Christmas last year no more plastic toys so Roomie ordered all the boys presents from some wooden toy website.  The company just sent a catalogue for Roomies shopping pleasure this year.

Now i know why the kid swears so goddamn much.    "Merry Christmas Son!   Here's your blocks!"   "Happy Birthday Son, Oh look!  You got blocks!"   "Look what the tooth fairy left,  Blocks!!"

"I dont want no stinkin #@%&^&*(%$#@# BLOCKS!!!!"

clothes

I can always find something groovy at my favorite used bookstore.  Those clothes dont look homemade at all.  Thinking of a new look for 2007.

My entire existence has been saturated by the man.    W#$ked 34 hours of overtime on my last check and am aiming for the perfect storm 40 hr OT max on my next one.  The day boss told me to just stay late everyday without her daily asking if i wanted the OT.  I did finally get paid for the 20 hours they "forgot.

Graveyard shift has made me a zombie.  Life is w#@k, sleep in new recliner with cats, w#@k, internet, w#$k,  eat, w#@k,  stare at nothing. I get home finally midmorning 12 hrs after leaving the trailer and try to figure out what day it is and when Son last had his pills.

Not much ambition for any extra fun,  the only prank i've managed is to write some extra appointments in roomies day planner he leaves by the computer.  Dont want him to forget his bikini wax next Fri at 3:30.

Havent been in a restaurant in weeks,  sleep through Americas Next Top Model, missed my fall foliage hike to the top of the mountain.   Just read my state scored last in the nation for smart people.  No shit,  my cow$#kers are proof of that.   The man hasnt posted any signs but i'm sure logic is prohibited in my w$#kplace.

knoxThe job is hectic, messy and frustrating. Seeing shit not done right  drives me nuts.  But WTF, this is all about the money, its not forever.  Memo for my next lifetime, Ease up on the freaking w$#k ethic, it aint right.

So i'm doing my best and not taking it all that seriously.  Its a temporary situation just like my last 114 jobs. There are some positives.

 Swearing is common.

There are a lot of men so its not a toxic estrogen overloaded environment.

There are humorous people and if things get bad there is always someone to roll my eyes and bitch with for a few.

There is also a world class vending machine lineup in the lunchroom.   We're talking pop machines,  sandwich and fruit juice machines, coffee/latte machine, frozen food machine with ice cream pizza and burritos, candy chips cookies machine.  Everything its all there.   Despite my nightly bag of M&M cookies this sweatshoppe has caused me to buy a belt.   I did use a rope for a week until i was awake enough to go shopping.

butterfingersAn old friend i havent seen in 6 years is coming to town and all i can think of is i hope she doesnt want to visit when i need to nap.  I miss sleeping at night, hiking and quality Motime.  I do still read blogs when i get home but i feel to stupid to communicate most of the time.  Maybe i could just comment  Doh! and if someone thinks of something good they could ghostwrite it in for me.

selfsupport

One more week down of slaving away for the man.   I dont stay up all night because i hate sleep so having my first paycheck arrive short 20 hours and now getting the run around is not making my day or night.

Its not hard staying up all night but trying to sleep during the day is getting worse.  I dont know which end is up.  The overtime is out of control.  I cant say no to time and a half but last week w^%ked four 12 hour nights and one 9 hour shift.  All this OT is seasonal so i just need to stick with it for a few months.  It will be really great to be paid for it.

Son has always been my dog but now with my being gone so much hes started sleeping in roomies room.  Traitor.  Have i mentioned his monthly meds have now gone up to $42,  $120 and $25 for for prescription food?  I feel terrible for neglecting him but why does he think  i'm w%$king so much?   Plus he's due for his shots and i'm sure they'll want more blood work to see how his liver is since the meds can be harsh.  Kids today are so ungrateful.

I miss my blog and being clearheaded.   Still more whining whining whining but for the most part its not that miserable for w$#k.  Time just flies when i'm there and its good to be around a large number of people not the small inbred snarky environment i was in.   Most are really nice, a number of people stop by to talk i dont even w$#k directly with.

bc 005I was awake for over 24 hours but managed to have an excellent time at the Black Crowes concert.   They rocked.

I have several of their old tapes and the songs i love i really love but the majority of the music i didnt like.  I asked roomie to buy us tickets thinking that any night with beer, music and not w$#king would be fun anyway but there wasnt one minute that wasnt great.  A lot more bluesy nonscreaming rock.  They didnt even play all of their old hits but we had a blast.

There was a huge packed floorspace in front of the stage and i told roomie when my fav song played i was going down there to elbow my way up front.  They did start playing Thorn in My Pride so i ran down there and started winding my way forward nonviolently.

When i got two people back from the stage Chris Robinson stopped singing and started yelling at someone not too far away from me in the crowd.  He totally told him off, i think the guy was pushing.  I have never seen anything like this.  Chris called him a f&^king asshole several times and said to leave if he couldnt behave around people.  The crowd was going nuts, i almost felt sorry for whoever the asshole was.  Then the band left the stage and the drummer did a long solo.   Finally they came back  and finished.

When i got went back to our seats roomie was worried that it was me the band told off.  Good thing i wasnt pushing being told off like that would have made me cry.

bearmt 002

First rule of w#%king for the man, never trust the man.  Just completed week two and still havent been fired or hate it.  Tolerating it very well.  Some people there are even fun.  I made a crack about the soft rock musak they blast us with and was told about the Christmas musak they blast nonstop starting the end of October.

One guy finally said if he had to listen to it one more night he would kill someone jokingly to his friend, someone else overheard and turned him in.  The man fired him.  Ratting on anyone for any reason is encouraged there.  I figure any day could be my last but whatever.  Nothings forever.   Just visiting.

Currently am w%$king more 12 hour nights than 8 because i told them i'd w$#k all the overtime they wanted.  Up to 24 hrs so far.  The Princess has some sweet cat toys coming.

It has taken over my life.   My best friend to blow off steam with came to town, i had to w$#k.  Have a backcountry permit for a grand canyon trail R and i have been dying to hike, cant take off w%$k.    A big chunk of time off is wasted sleeping.

Whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine whine

The good news is 5 lbs of chocolate induced fat have melted off my ass and this job doesnt make my shoulders ache like the last two jobs.  Bad news is now my middle fingers go numb.  Good news is numb doesnt hurt.  Its always something, i hate old age.

Had to stay awake on my big day off and sweat out all this sleep deprived pissing and moaning on a great hike yesterday.  Bad news is the primitive dirt road to the trail head is under major improvements and a subdivision is going to be built out there.  I'm sure it will include a golf course, the southwest is known for all its extra water.

A  beautiful 51? inch widescreen HDTV has also arrived in the trailer.   The friends who delivered it in their truck took the empty box to their office dumpster so the neighbors dont think we have money and rip us off.  That tv is a thing of beauty.  It also stretches out all the non-widescreen movies so the normally stick thin actresses look chunky.   Makes movie snacking much more enjoyable.  Rented Ma Vie En Rose from Netflix, great film.
